Healthcare made simple, medical bills made manageable
Unlimited concierge-level primary care. No such thing as “out-of-network” speciality care. Cheaper than health insurance.

Direct Primary Care covers up to 90% of your healthcare needs
With fewer patients and more time, our DPC partners keep most care in-house. This means unlimited in-person, virtual, and text access to care, with no copays or deductibles.
Medical Cost Sharing helps with everything else
When a specialist is needed, or an emergency comes up, we partner with the Sedera Medical Cost Sharing Community so that your costs are capped at a number that you’re comfortable with.
Simplifying your healthcare
We partner with Sedera HealthShare to simplify all care beyond your Direct Primary Care membership. Cost-sharing provides affordability, choice, transparency, and support to pay for your healthcare expenses.
How Medical Cost Sharing works
1.
Select your membership level
You select your Membership level which determines your Initial Unshareable Amount (IUA). This is the amount you feel comfortable paying without help from the Community.
2.
Every member contributes
When you join Sedera, you begin contributing funds for use by other Members on a monthly basis.
3.
The community shares with you
If something unexpected happens, Community Members share funds to pay for any expenses beyond your IUA.
4.
You pay your doctor
You pay your healthcare provider with the shared funds, for the duration of your care.

Frequently Asked Questions
How does this work with my health insurance?
Your membership is direct-pay, and doesn’t bill insurance for services. Keep your insurance for the big stuff (ER, hospital, surgery, specialists, brand-name meds). For labs and imaging, we’ll help you access low cash prices, or you can use insurance, and we’ll help you choose what’s best for you.
Can this replace health insurance?
Direct Primary Care is meant to take care of up to 90% of your health care needs. As much as we help you avoid big medical bills, DPC isn’t insurance.
For big medical bills and emergencies, most members pair membership with their existing insurance, or save money by pairing it with a high-deductible plan or a health share membership for unexpected, high-cost care. We can help you figure out what’s best for your situation.
Is there a commitment?
We ask for a 3-month minimum to give you continuity and real follow-through. After the first three months, membership is month-to-month.
What’s included in membership?
What if I need labs, imaging, or a specialist?
Labs & imaging
Our DPC partners don’t draw labs in the office; instead they order to nearby labs and imaging centers and show you expected cash prices up front. Cash rates are often dramatically lower than through hospital systems—think 50–90% less—and are passed through at cost.
Typical examples: CBC, CMP, A1c, lipid panel $4–$10 each; TSH $8–$15; X-ray $40–$80; ultrasound $100–$250; MRI $250–$600. Pricing varies by location, and you can always choose between cash pay or using your insurance. We’ll help you decide based on your plan, remaining deductible, and what’s most cost-effective.
Specialists
Oftentimes your primary care provider can handle much more than they do, but the hospital system they work for, or their time constraints, doesn’t allow them to.
Because of the DPC model, our partners are able to handle up to 90% of your healthcare needs.
If in-person specialty care is truly needed, our DPC partners refer to high-quality local clinicians, share expected costs, confirm insurance details if you’re using coverage, and send a concise summary so you aren’t repeating tests.
The goal is simple: Keep as much care as possible with your primary doctor who knows you, and use specialty care only when it adds real value to your health care.
Is membership available for children and adults?
Yes. Our DPC partners care for all ages.
